Admissions/Visa Requirements
American National English Language Institute
Upon receipt of required documentation (application form, financial guarantee letter, a copy of your passport, a copy of your transcripts, both the original document along with the translation to English), documents will be thoroughly examined and upon acceptance, you will be notified within approximately seven business days.
Current policies of the U.S. Immigration Department state that international students must prove that financial responsibility will be met. Once these requirements have been met and the student is accepted for admission to American National English Language Institute, an I-20 will be issued. Upon receipt of the I-20 the applicant will be required to complete the form DS-160 and make the $160 fee to the U.S. embassy in their home country. Once the applicant has booked an F1 visa interview, the visa interview confirmation receipt should be emailed to our Admission offices to mail the hard copy of the I-20 along with the Letter of Acceptance via UPS. Finally, the applicant must make the $350 SEVIS fee payment (https://www.fmjfee.com/i901fee/index.html) and complete the form I-901.
To obtain an F-1 student visa, the applicant will need to present to the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate certain documents to demonstrate their intent to study in the United States and, after completion of their studies, return to their home country. The documents needed include: an I-20 obtained from American National English Language Institute, proof of financial support, a valid passport, and evidence of ties to their country. In addition, a personal interview with a consular officer will be required. We recommend that the applicant makes an appointment for their interview at least 30-90 days prior to the date intended to begin their studies. More information on how to apply for an F1 student visa, including the required visa application, is available on U.S. Embassy and U.S. Consulate websites, a listing of which may be found at www.usembassy.gov.
